WHY USE HARLY CARNAUBA WAX

In this World of synthetic, man made products, there remain a few unique natural compounds which defy human duplication. One of these is carnauba wax, a derivative of the leaves of the Carnauba Palm (Copernia Cerifera), which grows in harsh mountains of Northern Brazil. Conditions in the Carnauba Palm’s native area are so severe that only the hardiest of trees can survive. Alternating hot and cold seasons and the attacks of voracious insect hordes combine to kill almost every form of vegetation. The Carnauba Palm survives because its leaves are protected by a virtually impenetrable layer of the hardest and most durable vegetable wax known to man. Each Plant bears some hundred leaves; from each of them about 7kg wax are extracted. High content Carnauba waxes bonds to paintwork, forming a hard film (Carnauba is actually harder than concrete in its natural state) that diffuses UV and infrared radiation, protects it against airborne contaminants and can even help prevent stone chips and when exposed to water, Carnauba swells and closes its pores. This leads to the beading and sheeting of water this is characteristic of a car that has been treated with a Carnauba wax.
